Souls of Black Folks...1776 Unsung

Souls of Black Folks… 1776 Unsung is a powerful musical theatre concert celebrating the often-overlooked Black men and women who contributed to America’s fight for independence. Through music, African American spirituals, spoken word, historical storytelling, and live performance, the production brings their experiences, sacrifices, and pursuit of freedom to the stage. Presented in recognition of Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary and the historic Battle of Germantown, 1776 Unsung invites audiences to experience the American Revolution through voices too often left out of its telling.
